Road to no where...

The girls set off in the wee hours of the morning. The birds had not yet began to sing, the sun was still tucked away deep in slumber and the world seemed deserted as the few cars on the motorway meandered along their way. Armed with their road trip essentials; smoke, munch and a trusty Sat Nav (in case it all went to pot), they set off.
It was moments like this that she lived for. Random road trips, mysterious self-assigned missions, she was Raoul Duke and her partner in crime was Dr.Gonzo.
Filled with adrenaline and Nostalgia they began their journey with Kings of Leon. Three undeniably amazing albums, all contributed to the picture perfect setting. They passed "Shugborough", which caused a few school girl giggles.
"Shugborough? Wanna come to my Shug Borough?" Said Dr Gonzo in a deep, northern voice.
Next up was "Gaydon" and the laughs rolled on. Much like Fear and Loathing the soul reason for the road trip was lost along the way. Right now the destination was no longer important but the journey itself the key factor. The unruly cassette player decided to give up half way on the "high" way, but this minor detail couldn't keep Thelma and Louise from their music. They sang Florance as if it was their national anthem, word for word, key for key, with all their carefree love. Ray was with them, Adele too and eventually even Michael joined in. The dog days were over.
Liverpool came and went. But not before squeezing in a Hot cup of tea at Maccy D's.
With Manchester on the map, the nights possible antics began to unfold with excitement and anticipation....
